As more and more Chinese people immigrate from China to USA-Mandarin, the most predominate language in China just like English in USA; has become a very popular language to learn in America. Mandarin is not only speak in China but also in a lot of other countries in Asia such as: Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and even in Indonesia. Mandarin Chinese is spoken by almost 1 billion speakers worldwide (that’s more than any other language!). Which means by learning Mandarin you’ll be potentially able to speak to over 13% of the world’s total population. Chinese Mandarin is also one of the six of the official UN languages — the others being English, Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish.
In California some school districts even offer dual immersion program in their elementary schools so their students could start young in learning Mandarin. This is where teachers teach their students half mandarin and half English in their class rooms sittings. And this type of teaching has become a popular choice amongst the parents from a Mandarin speaking background or from parents who see an endless potential for their children in learning Mandarin.
For some families, they even hire a Chinese Mandarin speaking nanny/helper at their home to enhance their children speaking skill, along with helping out with daily grained such as prepping meals and tidy up the house. And on other hand families who are newly immigrant from China, see an importance in maintaining their own culture, traditions, and their language speaking skills to be kept in their household would also hire a Chinese nanny/helper at their home to help out. A good example of a famous mom would be “Ivanka Trump” who sees an importance of Chinese Mandarin and hired a teacher to teach her children Mandarin and then hired another Mandarin speaking nanny to be her children's’ nanny! Now her children is able to speak, write, and understand Chinese Mandarin. Which hence give her children an advantage for the future opportunities compared to their peers. And Statistics have shown; people who are able speak more than one language, bilingual or trilingual earns more than people who speak One language.
